I've been a diehard Sanders supporter since #filibernie, so I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to support his platform. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. My mother is from New York City, and I come from a long line of Democrats. I've worked with the NDP on Olivia Chow, Rosario Marchese, and Andrew Cash's campaigns. I'm passionate about harm reduction, drug policy, disability rights, and prison reform. As a person on the autism spectrum, I have long advocated for the destigmatization of people marginalized by psychiatric and neurological diagnoses. I work on a number of committees and projects dedicated to harm reduction and youth mental health, including the CAMH Youth Advisory Group, Drug Education Resource Committee, and Eli's Place and Surrey Place boards. I also walk and train dogs, and so have an interest in animal welfare.
