Notice of the upcoming Annual General Meeting, as sent to members of DA-Luxembourg by the Nominations Committee. If you are a member of Democrats Abroad living in Luxembourg, but did not receive this message, please contact Will Bakker to check your status.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all members of Democrats Abroad Luxembourg that:
The Annual General Meeting of members will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Brasserie Bosso, located in the "Grund" at 7 Bisserweg, 1238 Luxembourg, to consider and act upon the following matters:

 

1. Approval of the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting
2. Report from the Chair for the preceding year
3. Treasurer’s Report on accounts for the period March 2018 – March 2019
4. Election of new Executive Committee members for the period 2019 – 2021
5. Consideration of other matters as may properly come before the meeting

Any member of DA-Luxembourg is eligible to submit their candidacy for any of the open positions of the Executive Committee. All offices are open due to the end of their two­ year terms: Chair, Vice­ Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Counsel, and two Members at Large.

You may submit your candidacy by email to either of the two members of the Nomination Committee:  Roger Behrend and Dan Good (contact information available in the emailed notice). Roger and Dan would be happy to discuss any aspect of serving on the Executive Committee and answer your questions about DA­-Luxembourg.

Please submit your candidacy for office before February 12, although there is no requirement to do so. Nominations for candidates to the Executive Committee will be accepted from the floor, prior to voting for the offices.

Every member is invited to attend the meeting in person. In the event that you will be unable to attend this annual meeting, you may send an e­mailed proxy, containing the following text, to Will Bakker (current Chair of DA-Luxembourg) before March 11, 2019:

“I, (Name) hereby designate (Name), a registered member of Democrats Abroad Luxembourg, to represent me at the Annual General Meeting of Democrats Abroad Luxembourg on March 12, 2019, and to vote on my behalf on any matter on the agenda. (Date).”
