The Executive Committee and several members met for the first Executive Committee meeting of 2019 on Jan. 29th.  The objective was to make a plan to engage our current membership (which has grown from 50 to 100 over the last year), attract new members and to keep everyone engaged through a series of social and informative events.

We would like to see how we can engage some speakers to talk to us about immigration issues, PetroCaribe, and Haitian US veterans.  We also plan to have a series of movie nights featuring films like A Bold Peace, Hidden Figures, RBG, A Day without Mexicans, etc.

We are also continuing our book club with The Water Will Come: Rising Seas, Sinking Cities, and the Remaking of the Civilized World by Jeff Goodell.
