Democrats Abroad Philippines Annual General Meeting (AGM) is on Saturday January 18, 2020 from 3:30-5:30pm at the Elks Club, 7th Floor Corinthian Plaza Building, Paseo de Roxas corner Legaspi Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City. We will report on activities held in 2019, elect a new secretary, and discuss activities for 2020.
Our by-laws state officers shall be gender-balanced, which means two officers should be female and two male, with Chair and Vice-Chair of different genders. As such, the new secretary should be male if possible. But since our current Chair and Vice-Chair are of different genders, we may be able to get away with a female secretary.
Nominations for Secretary are now open. Please submit by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Do nominate yourself if you are interested! Our group needs more people to get involved so we can be more active--there are some 300,000-400,000 Americans in the Philippines, and we are reaching only a tiny fraction of them. Nominations will also be accepted at the AGM from the floor before the vote. Officer/management position descriptions, here.
If you would like to attend the meeting but cannot get to Makati, we would be happy to have you join by Skype if you have a strong internet connection.
Minutes from General Meeting October 26, 2019 here, for you to please review and approve at the AGM.
Please let us know if you can attend the meeting by emailing email@example.com.
