Democrats Abroad Reparations Task Force July 2022 Meeting
The Democrats Abroad Reparations Task Force is dedicated to tackling economic, racial, and political injustice head on. Join us as we fight to keep the Biden Administration accountable to its own promises to address racial disparities. This is important because H.R. 40 (the Reparations Study Bill) runs a risk of lapsing before a vote. We will not let that happen, for the stakes are too high.
On July 28th at 1:00 p.m. (13:00) Eastern US Time / 7:00 p.m. (19:00) Central European Time, we will be discussing recent developments in the US reparations movement, ongoing successes in reparations activism/advocacy, and further opportunities to get involved as we march towards the midterms. ACTION ITEMS FOR ALL RTF MEMBERS:
- Identify international organizations, potential partners, in our countries of residence to help mobilize international support/pressure for reparations.
- Jot down a list of possible contact people/organizations abroad that might want to support the U.S. reparations movement. (Please note: Democrats Abroad cannot work directly with foreign governments or political entities.)
