✅ New Hampshire Democrats flipped a Republican seat deep in Trump country, marking the 28th state legislative flip since Trump was elected. Republicans have flipped none. Bobbi Boudman defeated Dale Fincher in a special election for this traditionally Republican NH state House seat, a 13% swing from 2024 when Trump carried it by +9 points.

✅ Democrat Andy Thomson has won the Boca Raton, FL mayoral race by just a handful of votes, becoming the first Democratic mayor of Boca Raton in over 30 years.
✅ Democrat Keith Givens flipped Maitland, FL City Council Seat 2, after a distinguished career in the military and as an FBI agent, making history as the first Black person elected to the Maitland City Council in nearly 200 years.
✅ Arkansas Democrat Clinches Victory in a Double-Digit Upset. Democrat Alex Holladay won Arkansas House District 70, edging out Republican Bo Renshaw by double digits, flipping this Republican district with a 26 point overperformance.
This upset flip comes on the heels of several embarrassing losses for Republicans in red states, including Texas Democrat Taylor Rehmet’s impressive 32-point swing to flip a GOP stronghold and Louisiana Democrat Chasity Verret Martinez’s staggering 37-point swing over the last few weeks.
✅ Pennsylvania Democrats won two critical special state House elections in February — both were must-win races to preserve Democratic control of the chamber, currently held by a single seat majority. Democrat Ana Tiburcio won district 22 becoming the first Latino state lawmaker from the Lehigh Valley, and Democrat Jen Mazzocco won district 42, representing Allegheny County.
✅ Maine Democrat Scott Harriman in February won House District 94, keeping the seat for Democrats and defending the Dem majority in the chamber.
SPECIAL FEDERAL ELECTIONS UNDER WAY
✅ Special Election in Congressional District New Jersey 11 (Essex, Morris, and Passaic Counties) to fill Mikie Sherrill’s seat now that she is Governor; Democrat Analilia Mejia faces off against Republican Joe Hathaway in the General Election April 16.
✅ Special Election in Congressional District Georgia 14 (Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Murray, Paulding, Polk, Walker, Whitfield, and portions of Cobb Counties) to fill GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s seat is headed to a runoff on April 7, where Democrat Sean Harris will face off against Republican Clayton Fuller.

✅ Special Election Virginia Statewide on Democratic redistricting April 21! The VA State Supreme Ct has ruled that VA can move forward with a special state election to be held on April 21. State voters will decide whether to allow redistricting that could net up to 4 new Democratic seats in the U.S. House in November. Only VA civilian voters abroad who “intend to return”, or are “return uncertain” and provide employer info can vote on this statewide ballot initiative.
