DAKE Honors Juneteenth
We Pivot, We Don’t Pause.
Join the New Program.
Democrats Abroad Kenya invites you to an energising Juneteenth gathering where we’ll honour the legacy of Black freedom struggles, amplify our collective voice, and shape the next chapter of our community together.
On Sunday, June 15th, come mark Juneteenth with us in true DAKE style — with purpose, reflection, and connection.
What to expect:
• An engaging Juneteenth activity with our own Vuyanzi Rodman
• A special Juneteenth message from our DAKE President, Dr. Brendan Csaposs
• Reflections from Jane Kleeb, ASDC President and progressive powerhouse
• Space to meet like-minded Americans and chart what’s next for our chapter
• Sip, Snack & Sound Off — an open forum to say what’s on your mind, over something tasty
This moment in history calls us to honour those who fought before us and to organise for what comes next. Whether you’re new to DAKE or have been around for years, we want your voice in the room.
We’ll be meeting at Unseen in Kilimani at 3pm on 15 June. Space is limited — please RSVP so we can plan accordingly!
Let’s remember. Let’s rebuild. Let’s reimagine. Together.
