Stop by to get help with your Democrats Abroad ballot to vote in the presidential primary, prepare for voting the the rest of the year (e.g., absentee ballots for the general election), and picnic with us in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens!
Saturday March 7th from 3:00-5:00pm at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town, Marquee Lawn (near the Kirstenbosch Tea Room -https://ktr.co.za/)
Ballot assistance events are not official polling stations, but are opportunities to pick up your remote ballot and get help sending it in.
Democrats Abroad holds its own primary election. We send our own delegates to the Democratic Convention. And we have our say in choosing the Democratic nominee for US President. Voting in the Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary instead of your home state is easy for you — and good for all of us!
Questions about the primary? Or do you just want directions? Send a message to Cameron at the email address mentioned here.
NOTE: For the general election in November you must vote through your state by requesting an absentee ballot or we can help you request it on March 7th. The Democrats Abroad election is a primary for the Democratic Presidential Nominee only. To vote in the general election in November and local down ballot primary races, you can request an absentee ballot from your state at VoteFromAbroad.org. If you vote in the Democrats Abroad primary, leave the choice of presidential nominee blank in your state primary. Don’t vote twice!
