Four Treasures of the Sky is a powerful debut novel that follows the life of Daiyu, a young Chinese girl facing the challenges of growing up in 19th-century China and America. Tinghui Zhang weaves history, folklore, and fiction into a rich narrative that touches on themes of resilience, identity, and the immigrant experience. The novel's poignant exploration of cultural heritage and self-discovery aligns perfectly with our celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Month.
