Fundraiser with Mayor Pete Buttigieg in Berlin

Democrats Abroad warmly invites you to an evening with Keynote Speaker Mayor Pete Buttigieg in Berlin

Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 6:45 PM

The Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, “Mayor Pete” is one of the youngest mayors in the country, and has been lauded widely as the “future of the Democratic Party," including being dubbed “the most interesting mayor you’ve never heard of” by the Washington Post. Fun fact, Pete is also a DA UK alum and was a member while he attended Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.

This year, Pete campaigned for Chair of the Democratic National Committee and made quite an impression with party leaders, DNC members, grassroots activists, and the press. His extensive background at home in the US and abroad as a graduate student and a Naval Officer in Afghanistan has earned the respect and appreciation of Democrats Abroad and we're glad to have a chance to host him and his partner in Berlin.

Democrats Abroad invites you to get to know Mayor Pete and contribute toward DA's global get out the vote initiatives. So please join the Mayor by signing up with one of the options outlined below.

Support is tiered at the following levels:

$300 – Cardinal Host – In honor of the state bird of Indiana, a Cardinal Host will be seated at the head table with Mayor Pete during dinner and will also be welcome at the cocktail reception before dinner to speak with "Mayor Pete" and other Democrats. The cardinal may be red, but with your help the upcoming electoral map will turn deep blue! (Please note that dinner is included for Cardinal Hosts, but if you have already paid for dinner, please contact Art Schankler at art@democratsabroad.org)

$100 – Arzberger Host –  In honor of the Bavarian sister city of South Bend, an Arzberger Host will join the cocktail reception and have a chance to speak with “Mayor Pete." (For those Arzberger hosts who also want to join the dinner, please register for the dinner below with the DAG Registration form.)

Even if you are not able to attend, please consider supporting this event and Democrats Abroad by becoming a Cardinal or Arzberger Host. If you just want to watch Mayor Pete's keynote speech and can't make it in person? Consider joining the Webinar broadcast by clicking here

This fundraiser takes places the evening of the DA Germany Annual General Meeting.

We encourage everyone attending the fundraiser to join the AGM workshops, activities and tours. You can register for the AGM and/or purchase a general admission ticket to the dinner here: DAG Registration form.

The general admission ticket for dinner does not include a donation to the DPCA and only covers the cost of your meal.

The Host Cocktail Reception is scheduled for 6:45 PM prior to the Dinner which begins at 7:30 PM.
