We’ll ask her about HR1, the comprehensive package of democracy reforms designed to strengthen our rights as overseas voters, her leadership of the California Women’s Caucus. her “Congressional Candidates Boot Camp” and other topics of interest to Americans living abroad.
About our speaker:
A volunteer in politics since the stroller, California attorney, author and activist Christine Pelosi currently the Chair of the Women’s Caucus of the California Democratic Party.
A member of the DNC Resolutions Committee since 2001, she has co-authored dozens of DNC policy statements embracing civil rights, voting rights, economic justice, women's equality, gun violence prevention, and veterans and military families.
Since 2005 Pelosi has directed the AFSCME PEOPLE Congressional Candidates Boot Camp, which prepares Democrats for campaigns and has helped over 40 challengers get elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. She has traveled to 41 states over the past 10 years working with dozens of successful candidates and thousands of volunteers at leadership boot camps based on her books Campaign Boot Camp: Basic Training for Future Leaders and Campaign Boot Camp 2.0.
