Join Democrats Abroad at the Protest Against
Trump’s State Visit on Wednesday, September 17.

We are proud to participate in support of the Stop Trump Coalition and their organizing partners. The STC organized a mammoth march in July 2018 - the biggest demonstration in London since a million people rallied against the Iraq war in 2003. The globally famous Trump Baby balloon was launched on that day. Continuing in that spirit, Democrats Abroad members are encouraged to make signs or wear costumes that express their views on the Trump presidency.

Event Details
While event details are still being finalized, this is the current flow for the protest.

2pm – Assemble
Democrats Abroad and other participating organizations will assemble at a location in Central London. After members RSVP to this event, they will be sent a pin with the precise meeting location. We will be walking to the rally location. It will be a short, accessible route.

5pm – Rally (location TBA in Central London)
You, your friends, and family are all welcome to join Democrats Abroad for any part of
the march and the rally that follows.

DAUK’s 1st Amendment Events Team will be coordinating with DA Members on the
day. After you RSVP, you will be sent a link to join a Signal group to use to contact the
1A Events Team on the day of the march.

For those traveling to London or joining after work, we will share our location in that
Signal group so you can meet the Democrats Abroad contingent along the route or at
the Rally.

Many Americans living or studying in the UK share a common struggle: how do we fight
back against the Trump Administration’s corruption, authoritarianism, and attacks on
democratic values from abroad?

You don’t need to be a member of Democrats Abroad to join us! All are welcome. We
welcome students, those who have lived in the UK for decades, and anyone who
believes in justice and accountability.
