The Global Disability Caucus is hoping to discover someone interested in tracking legislation relating to disabilities as well as major developments in healthcare in general. Preferably this would be someone who is comfortable writing about them for our website and newsletter, etc. But, support for that could be found.  In addition, there may be others interested in joining a team to support these efforts.

We’d love to have this person join the Steering Committee and keep us up to date on critical developments and to be part of determining the Caucus’ agenda. It would also be ideal if they could work with the Events and Actions Facilitator to support activities relating to various pieces of legislation.

Currently, it is just as important to watch for moves to curtail rights and benefits as it is to track new legislation that might further our goals.

There are terrific resources available and the ability to glean info from these and other published media will be necessary.  As will the ability to work on word sheets, to create shareable reports.

We look forward to having someone interested in this role in the GDC who will help us work more productively and keep our eyes on important developments in DC and in the states.
