Get Out the Vote with DA Toronto
Join DA Toronto in person or online by Zoom for an evening of conversation about our GOTV efforts for 2024. The discussion will led by Randi Weitzner, GOTV Coordinator for Canada, Deputy to the America’s Regional Vice Chair for GOTV, Voter Assistance Trainer, and lead for the DA New York State Team. Randi will talk to us about the exciting opportunities for GOTV work in 2024.
We will have snacks and soft drinks to share, but feel free to BYOB as well. RSVP below for a Zoom link and more information about how to join us for the event. Zoom links will be sent a few days before the event.
There are so many ways that we as leaders in DA and volunteer members can make an impact on the number of overseas voters who successfully register and return their ballots. Democrats Abroad has been doing this for a long time, and there are tried and true methods that we can make use of to find Americans abroad, educate them about overseas voting, and assist them in the process of procuring their ballots and getting them back to their home state to be counted.
In addition to bringing you information about the plans DA has made for its GOTV work, we would like to hear from Toronto members about their ideas for outreach to Americans. We must always be exploring new and innovative ways to do this work. Please do jot down some ideas and let’s talk about them when we meet.
As US citizens, we have been given this gift of having a voice, even from outside of the United States, to shape the future of the US government. We can champion the causes Democrats hold dear – women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, human rights, protecting our planet. We must take that voice and amplify it by finding Americans living in Toronto and educating them and supporting them so they too can shape the future of American Democracy.
