Do Dems have a foreign policy problem: A talk with Leopoldo Martínez Nucete

Please join us for discussion over drinks and tapas with DA friend Leopoldo Martínez Nucete on Thursday, November 7th, at 7:30 PM at The Village Tap Room (c/ Martín de los Heros 28, metro Plaza de España/Ventura Rodriguez).

Author of "94 paradojas para pensar el siglo XXI," Leopoldo has an extensive career in the field. We are excited to hear his thoughts on foreign policy issues faced by the Democratic Party, so we can best channel our efforts in the upcoming presidential election in 2020.

A Venezuelan-American, Leopoldo is an international lawyer, social entrepreneur, and a former congressman in Venezuela. He is the founder of the Center for Democracy and Development in the Americas, IQLatino and the principal of LMN Consulting, LLC. He is a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), a board member of Latino Victory Project, and the chair of its National Committee. He also sits on the board of the Small Business Commission of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Board of Visitors of the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. He served in the Government Transition Committee for the 73rd Governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam.

Also attending will be DAS founding member, international relations analyst and university professor Alana Moceri, who has published a piece on this topic:
We encourage those attending to take a look; it’s a great way to prepare ideas and questions!

Please take the time to RSVP. It is a huge help in our organizational efforts.

We look forward to seeing you there!
