Welcome to the ECCC’s October Climate Café, 10.18 at 10:00 ET/ 4:00 pm CET, where we will examine how clean-tech solutions are developed and what exciting innovations are in the pipeline. Our special guest, Eric Burns, a clean-tech entrepreneurial scientist, will guide us through the process of identifying technical opportunities to reach desired climate outcomes.

 

 

About Eric Burns:

Bio

Eric Burns began his research career in protein and agriscience before pivoting to applied solar material research. Both his Master's Degree at Imperial College London and his Ph.D. at ETH Zurich focused on the field of sustainable solar fuels and electrochemistry. In addition to his research, much of Eric's past 10 years focused on building and leading organizations over a wide range of disciplines, from a direct air capture CO2 startup to political representation to an award-winning mental health nonprofit, among a few others. At Deep Science Ventures, Eric scopes deep tech business opportunities to reverse global heating and ensure our sustainable energy transition.
