About the invitee: Democrat Jessica Jackson Sloan has dedicated her career to working on Criminal Justice Reform. As a human rights attorney, she represented California death row inmates in their appeals. In addition to her duties as Mayor of Mill Valley, CA, she is the National Director of DreamCorps #cut50 initiative to end mass incarceration and significantly reduce the prison population. She currently works with congress people from both sides of the isle to pass The Dignity for Incarcerated Women's Act, a bill to reform the way women are treated behind bars.

From the #Cut50 website: "Nearly two-thirds of incarcerated women have children and nearly three-quarters have been victims of trauma or abuse. The Dignity for Incarcerated Women Act would make a series of common-sense changes to how the federal prison system treats incarcerated women to lessen the negative impact incarceration has on the family members of incarcerated women, especially their children, and better prepare incarcerated women to return to their communities."
