Electoral Results in Pennsylvania Primary Elections April 2024: PA Democrats picked their champions to keep democracy alive on November 5th


Pennsylvania, United States - May 1, 2024 - The primary elections in Pennsylvania have recently resulted in the people’s choice of strong Democratic candidates to several federal and state offices. Those Pennsylvanian leaders will face their Republican challengers on November 5th and fight to keep democracy alive in the country.

Pennsylvania Senator since 2006, Bob Casey has been chosen again by the Democratic Party to keep carrying Pennsylvanians’ voices on the Hill. Uncontested on the Democratic side, Sen. Bob Casey will face Republican challenger David McCormick in what is likely to be a decisive campaign culminating in the November 5th general election.

 

Running for Attorney General, former two-term Auditor General Eugene DePasquale will bring his legal expertise and commitment to integrity and justice for all.

 

Beating Mark Pinsley in the primary election, State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta has been selected as the Democratic nominee for Auditor General. The North Philly rising-star will face Republican incumbent Timothy DeFoor in the November general election.

 

Furthermore, Erin McClelland, has been designated as the Democratic nominee for PA Treasurer. Defeating State Rep. Ryan Bizzarro, the newcomer will have to beat Republican incumbent  Stacy Garrity to win the treasurer’s race.

 

Finally, all Democratic incumbents in the House will continue to serve their respective districts with dedication and determination. Unopposed Ashley Ehasz (PA-01) will once again try to unseat four-term Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick in this crucial political battleground; while Former TV anchor Janelle Stelson (PA-10) will take on Republican Representative Scott Perry in a red-leaning district that is on Democrats' list to flip this year.

 

These positive results clearly illustrate the confidence and massive support of voters for Democratic values and ideals, as well as the determination to continue progress, equality, and opportunity for all Pennsylvanians.
