DAUK Local Organising - Get Started Session! - March 4th

Want to get to know fellow Democrats Abroad members in your local area? Want to put angst into action and make sure Americans in your area vote in the midterms? Join one of our Local Organising: Get Started Sessions, held every Wednesday from 6:00–7:00pm.

These sessions are aimed at members all across the UK who are interested in learning what's involved to help with DA's International Voter Registration Drive. Voting in the midterms has started for Americans abroad as we need to make sure we are ready to vote by applying for our ballots at www.votefromabroad.org. Local organising starts with simple gatherings (pub nites, potlucks, and walk'n'talks) involving local DAUK members and can progress to voter outreach at universities and other places where you can find fellow Americans (American football viewings, US book tours, farmers' markets, festivals, etc.) You may be surprised how many Americans live near you and we can help you find them and make sure they vote. 

We have established groups and groups in formation in Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton/Sussex, Cardiff, Chichester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton, Leeds/Yorkshire ... We'd love to have groups within London (North, South, East, West), other parts of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Whether you are from one of the areas with a group already established or in formation or an area that is not listed, come along to learn what's involved, the many tools and resources available, the support we provide, and the next steps for getting your first local meet-up going!
