Next week in Rome

Democrats Abroad Italy-Rome

Invites you to a Very Special Evening with

John Norris

On the Occasion of our Rome Chapter Elections

Via Ostiense 106, Rome

Tuesday, January 19 from 18:30 to 20:00

Greetings to all Democrats in the Rome area! Please join us as we kick off the election year.

Anecdotes from the Campaign Trail

Special guest: John Norris will be joining us to talk about his experiences 'in the trenches', while working on several noteworthy elections campaigns. John was the Iowa State Director for the presidential campaigns of Jesse Jackson ('87-'88), Tom Harkin ('92-'93), and John Kerry ('03-'04). He also served as Chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party and ran for Congress in Iowa's 4th district.

Chapter elections

Although the political press in the United States is focusing on the 2016 presidential election, there's another election coming up - much sooner and much closer to home. This is the election to select new officers for the Rome chapter of Democrats Abroad Italy.

Nominations are open, so please step forward - ideally by Jan. 14, whether you are interested in serving on the board or just available to help in some other way (registering voter, organizing events, etc.).

This is a great time to come on board as we gather our forces to be ready for the 2016 primary season and voter registration.

To put your hat in the ring, please contact Gail Fagen/Tony Quattrone, [email protected]. And don't be shy - this is volunteer work and everyone is only asked to do what she or he can.

There is plenty of parking along Via Ostiense, and the venue is also just a short walk from the Garbatella Metro stop (linea B). Just follow the signs from the main gate to the meeting room.

Refreshments will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!
