Immigration Policies - Special Event with Immigration Lawyer

 

The speaker is a local resident, Hope Frye. Hope has been an immigration attorney for 50 years. During that time, she worked on developing policy and law and litigated cases during the administrations of 7 Presidents. Hope is a past president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, former board chair for the Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law, and lead monitoring attorney under the Flores Settlement agreement. As lead Flores monitor, Hope testified in 2019 before the Senate and House on conditions for children held in CBP detention. Hope was nominated for recognition by the UNHCR for her long-time advocacy for immigrant women and children.
