DAWS August Afterwork: Across the Atlantic: November 5 - What happened?

The U.S. election has come and gone, but the conversation is far from over. The voter purges and the various ways that red states have made it more difficult to vote -- especially for certain demographic groups -- is well documented but has received insufficient attention. Add to this the way that Trump supporters went about systematically taking over much of the local voting machinery across the country, the role of dark money in elections, and the way that (especially since 2010) state legislatures and the House of Representatives are massively gerrymandered, and you have a proud democratic system that is at best on life support.

Join Democrats Abroad Western Sweden for an enlightening presentation about this important subject with Joel Parthemore, including video and slides.  It will be followed by open discussion as we unpack what happened on November 5, and we consider what lies ahead for U.S. democracy.
