About Our Speaker
Phil Murphy has served as the 56th governor of New Jersey since January 2018. He previously served as the United States Ambassador to Germany from 2009 to 2013, and has years of experience living abroad thanks to a 23 year career in Goldman Sachs. The governor served as finance chairman for the Democratic National Committee in the mid-late 2000s under Howard Dean, and is currently chairing the Democratic Governors Association.
