On Monday, October 3, 2022, Democrats Abroad Austria welcomes Georgia State Senator Sheikh Rahman for the first in-person DAA Talks lecture since before the pandemic!
Join other DA Austria members, friends, and interested public to hear from Senator Rahman about the state of the closely watched 2022 midterm races in Georgia — including Stacey Abrams's campaign for governor and incumbent U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock's race to keep his crucial senate seat.
Senator Rahman (5th District) is the first immigrant and the first Asian-American in the Georgia State Senate and very well known across the Asian American community in Georgia. Read his bio here. We look forward to hear from him and what will undoubtedly be a fascinating discussion on the state of the upcoming midterm elections and their consequences.
Join us beforehand for a glass of wine at 18:30. The talk will begin at 19:00.
Please note that the Republikanischer Club – neues Österreich has a new address. They are now located at Fischerstiege 1-7, R1, 1010 Vienna. This is a storefront on street level. The lecture and discussion will be in English.
