Welcome to Democrats Abroad Alicante, the "most fun chapter" within Democrats Abroad Spain (so we have been told)! We are a growing community of American Democrats living in the southeastern region of Spain, known as the Costa Blanca. Our geographic focus spans from Alicante, Altea, Benidorm, Benissa, Calpe, Denia, Elche, El Campello, Finestrat, Guardamar del Segura, Jávea, Santa Pola, Torrevieja, Villajoyosa, all all points in between.
Founded in January 2020, we are dedicated to supporting the rights of all U.S. citizens living abroad and working to make a significant difference in US elections by getting out the vote from Americans living abroad for federal and state elections in the US.
Our volunteer leadership team is a local resource for up-to-date voting information, local and national Democrats Abroad events, and new or modified legislation that affects us as US voters. We provide our members with the latest voting information through our emails and Facebook Group, where we encourage lively conversations and the sharing of political information for community-building engagement.
We were extremely busy getting out the 2024 vote by registering as many new Americans living in our region to vote. We encourage you to take a couple of simple steps:
