May afterwork: Artist books and zines as tools for creativity and politics

Artist zines on display.

From samizdat to risograph zines, artist books and self-published print have long served as tools for both creative expression and political resistance. In this talk, Gothenburg-based artist Ji Songyin will present several artist- and activist-made publications and describe how making and distributing printed matter becomes an act of world-building.

Before the talk, we will be having our annual general meeting where we will be electing our chair, secretary, and optional vice chair, along with our organizing committee. Candidates for all these positions are welcome.

Join us via video link or show up in person. Grab yourself a drink or some food before joining us in the meeting room at John Scotts Linné, up one flight of stairs in the back. RSVP for the link. If you have trouble finding the venue or connecting online, contact Joel Parthemore at the email address or phone number below.
