LET'S MAKE HISTORY!

Our guest speaker, Professor Riccardo Bruscagli is an esteemed scholar and professor emeritus of Italian literature, known for his expertise in Italian chivalric romances and Renaissance literature. He has had a distinguished academic career, serving as a full professor and dean at the University of Florence, and has lectured at numerous prestigious universities in the United States. Professor Bruscagli is a prolific author who has published numerous articles and books on the works of Niccolò Machiavelli. His insightful lectures on Machiavelli's political philosophy, such as the acclaimed "Throne of Blood" delivered at UC Berkeley while he held the Chair of Italian Culture, are still considered among the best in the field. Professor Bruscagli's deep understanding of Machiavelli's writings and their historical context has made him a leading authority on the influential Renaissance thinker. Recently, he collaborated with filmmaker Ric Burns on a PBS documentary titled *Dante: Inferno to Paradise*, which explores the life and legacy of the iconic poet Dante Alighieri and his monumental work, *The Divine Comedy*.
