Town Hall Meet the DAPT Candidates

We are electing new leadership for Democrats Abroad Portugal for the 23-25 cycle! Be an informed voter and come to this virtual town hall and meet the candidates. This is your chance to get to know the folks who have stepped forward as candidates and want to help lead DAPT. Each candidate will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, and then we'll take questions from members. 

The positions up for election are:

• Vice Chair
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Counsel
• Members at Large (up to 6)
• Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA) Voting Representative (1 + alternates)

Election Timeline

• February 14, 2023 - Nominations Opened
• Noon, February 28, 2023 - Deadline for Nominations
• March 6, 2023 – Voting Opens (Electronic), Ballot and Voter Guide Emailed to Members 
• 7:00 p.m., March 14, 2023 – Virtual Candidate Town Hall
• March 7, 2023 – Deadline to Join Democrats Abroad Portugal and Participate in Election
• Noon, March 21, 2023 – Voting Closes (no in-person voting at AGM)
• 7:00 p.m., March 22, 2023 - Annual General Meeting (Virtual), Nominations and Elections Committee Announces Election Results 
• 7:00 p.m, March 24, 2023 - Initial Executive Committee Transition/Organization Virtual Meeting (candidates should pencil this in, in case they are elected)
