Virtual Volta Heads to Crete!

DAGR’s next (virtual) Volta takes a walk on the wild side Thursday, April 11^th (6:00 – 7:30 p.m.) to explore Crete. Join Reps-at-Large Daniel (“Crete lover”) and Gina (Crete-based) for this trip around Greece’s largest island with stops along the way for insider tips from members who call the island home.

Crete packs a world of spectacular landscapes and ancient history into an area about the same size as President Biden’s home state of Delaware and is one of Greece’s top destinations for visitors.

Our virtual volta will look at the island through the eyes of our Cretan-based members. We’ll also brainstorm potential ways of helping to get out the vote from US citizens who’ll be visiting the island this year or are living there temporarily in connection with the US military presence at Souda Bay.

For those planning to take part: If you live on Crete, have a few photos ready to share that highlight the area of the island where you are. If you’ve visited Crete in the past, you are also welcome to share pics and memories of your travels. If it's easier for you, just send your photo as an attachment to Daniel at the email addy below.
