As a US citizen living in Portugal, you may not realize that you can still vote in US elections. YOU CAN
! You are guaranteed to receive ANY relevant ballot in a given calendar year-- IF you submit an Overseas Voter form through Vote From Abroad. The good news is you are not alone. We're having a party to get you started in 2026!
Come to the Scoundrels Distilling Co. in honor of International Voter Registration Day, on January 17, 2026. This event is the kickoff to what promises to be a riveting 2026 election season. We’ll enjoy beverages, Southern cuisine provided by Southern Gal in Portugal, our own Bridget Jones, and companionship with lots of fellow expats. We’ll have music, conversation with other Americans, games and generally a fun time. We'll also have stations set up for you to register and submit your overseas voter request form, which takes about five minutes. Democrats Abroad Portugal is the sponsor, but this event is non-partisan.-- the purpose is to have as many of the roughly 2,000 Americans living in the Porto area prepared to cast their vote in the 2026 election.
