Candice Kerestan, DA International Chair & DNC Youth Council Vice Chair (Munich, Germany)

A Central Pennsylvania native, Candice Kerestan has lived in Germany for the past eight years and currently serves as International Chair of Democrats Abroad (DA), the official arm of the Democratic Party responsible for engaging and mobilizing the more than nine million U.S. citizens living overseas. She is the youngest currently serving Democratic state party chair, and the second youngest in Democratic Party history. In her role, Ms. Kerestan works with on-the-ground organizers in nearly every country to find new voters and activate existing voters abroad – with the overarching goal of delivering even more votes for Democrats across the United States in 2023 and 2024.

Ms. Kerestan previously served as Chair of DA Germany and as the Regional Leader for the Cologne-Bonn area in Germany. She holds degrees in Political Science and German and is currently pursuing her PhD in Political Science at the University of Bonn where she also works as a translator in the areas of sociology, law, and political science.

Erin Kotecki Vest, DA Canada Chair (Montréal, Canada)

Erin Kotecki Vest is Democrats Abroad Canada’s newly elected chair. Erin has spent her career as an award winning journalist, social media strategist, political pundit & activist.

You may recognize Erin from frequent appearances on CNN, MSNBC, Al Jazeera & the Katie Couric Show or her speaking engagements at venues such as SXSW, Politics Online. 

Born & raised in metro-Detroit, Erin & husband Aaron (really!) moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Along with their California-native teens they relocated to Montréal in 2019.

 

Randi Weitzner, DA Quebec Chapter Chair (Montréal, Canada)

Randi is a native downstate New Yorker who has lived in Montreal, Quebec for 33 years. She is trained as a social worker, and has a passion for providing services to those in need. She prioritizes GOTV work as her primary mission in Democrats Abroad. She works hard to reach as many of the hundreds of thousands of Americans here in Canada who have a right to vote in US elections.

 

 

Jarryd Rauch, DA International Executive Director (New York, New York)

Jarryd Rauch currently serves as the Executive Director of the Democratic Party Committee Abroad. Previously, he served as the Eastern Regional Director of the ASDC at the DNC, working with the Democratic State Parties in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, the Virgin Islands, Vermont, and with Democrats Abroad. Jarryd has worked executing many integral parts of State Party operations - including voter protection, fundraising, field, party affairs, and community engagement. He has also worked for the Connecticut Democratic Party, Congressman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and advised local campaigns.
Aside from his work, he is involved in community work with both the Queer and Jewish communities in New York City and in South Florida.

Jarryd is a native of South Florida now based out of New York City, where he lives with his cat Julian. He holds a degree in Political Science and Biology from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
