Celebrate 2024 Lunar New Year with the Diversity Caucus

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! 新年快乐！Please join the DA France Diversity Caucus as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon 2024 at Autour du Yangtse, a Chinese restaurant specializing in xiaolongbao（小笼包）or "soup dumplings" — a type of dumpling especially popular in Shanghai (Eastern China), and one of the many types of foods eaten at this time of year across East Asia in observance of the new year!

We will discuss the ancient origins of the lunar new year, the animal Zodiac cycle, and share some of ways in which the new year is celebrated around the world. We will also examine the impact of AAPI communities on US elections in recent years, and what we can do to help support Democrats up and down the ballot. The Dragon is a symbol of power, strength, good fortune but also dynamism and decisive action in facing challenges -- let's help make the Dragon year decisive in favor of Democrats!

This will be a Chinese banquet-style dinner, with a prix fixe menu, communal seating, and "family style" food service for 30 USD per person. Please pay upon RSVP from this page to secure your seat, as space is limited. The prix fixe dinner includes:
