March 4 Our Lives Rally

With the senseless murders in our US sister city of Buffalo and Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas, we grieve. We grieve for the innocent. We grieve for their families. We grieve for each other as we experience vicarious trauma every time this happens. And it’s happened 20 times since Uvalde. 

We have to resist the stage of grief known as acceptance. It is nearly unimaginable to picture your innocent loved one at Topps Grocery or a beloved innocent child at Robb Elementary when these horrific acts happen with legal guns. We cannot accept this.

We cannot accept this, we must RISE. We must take ACTION. It is the one thing we can do from afar to make a difference. 

In 2018, Democrats Abroad Toronto organized a bus trip and DA members participated in the March 4 Our Lives in Washington DC, demanding action and sensible gun control legislation to END gun violence once and for all. Yet here we are again. Soon, March 4 Our Lives events are happening in 500 cities around the world. 

We’re joining in, RISE with us! 

We will gather across the street from the US Consulate on University Avenue in Toronto.
