Media Outreach Task Force Meeting
Are you responsible for coordinating media or press outreach or engagements for spokespeople in your country or chapter? Do you handle incoming press requests or try to pitch your CC / chapter to the media?
There is a group of people across DA who do these activities, and this series of sessions is designed for you.
- Meet each other, get to know each other and how you do things in your respective countries
- Share what is working well and challenges you are having, and develop solutions for them
- Understand what the global press team does and identify how it can support you in your local press outreach
Agenda:
- Introductions (depending on turnout; can be in the chat)
- A brief landscape analysis of where we have press operations – and where we are lacking
- Pitching stories – what are our main arguments, and how can me make the media interested in them?
- press management/handling requests/steering a reporter
- Can/should/how we develop a more aggressive press outreach strategy
- Spokesperson training
- Additional resources needed? Next steps?
