Join the Frankfurt and Greater Hessen Resistance Roundtable on July 15th at 7 p.m. for an online talk with Dr. Nayan Shah about the challenges posed by the current political environment with regard to universities and immigration. Dr. Shah is Professor of American Studies & Ethnicity and History at the University of Southern California. He is the author of three award-winning books: Contagious Divides: Epidemics and Race in San Francisco’s Chinatown (California 2001); Stranger Intimacy: Contesting Race, Sexuality, and the Law in the North American West (2012); and Refusal to Eat: A Century of Prison Hunger Strikes (University of California Press, 2022). Additionally Dr. Shah is an Organization of American Historians Distinguished Lecturer and has also been elected to the Society of American Historians.
