Voter Registration and Social
Happy New Year to our fellow Americans living in British Columbia! 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most consequential midterm elections of our lives! The first step to participating in any US federal/state/local election is to Register and Request your ballot. Most Americans living abroad need to request their ballot every year. So in recognition of this need, Democrats Abroad - BC Mainland is holding an in-person voter support event on Sunday, January 18th starting at 2pm at the Fountainhead Pub in the Vancouver West End. Here's our plan for the 18th:
- 2 - 3pm - Voter Registration & Volunteer Training for Voter Support
- 3 - 5pm - Voter Registration + Social Time
- 5pm onwards - Keep hanging out with your fellow Americans!
We will have Voter Assistance Officers at the Pub who will be there to assist people with voter registration. The rules vary per state and we'll be there to help you figure it out.
Please tell your fellow American friends//family members/colleagues about this event and we'll help them get registered. And let them know that they do not need to be a member of Democrats Abroad to get assistance - we help everyone. 😀
If you can't make it to this in-person session, we'll be holding additional ones throughout the year, both in-person and online. In addition, you can always go to the Vote from Abroad website for help at any time.
