Mukbang Meet & Greet - Celebrating the Lunar New Year
Join the Democrats Abroad AAPI Caucus for an online celebration of Lunar New Year, the Year of the Tiger. Bring your own Lunar New Year food - leftovers, delivery, or make something new - and drinks to our informal online gathering to talk about ways you celebrate Lunar New Year and your AAPI heritage. Friends, families and those interested in learning more about the various ways of celebrating the Lunar New Year are welcome to come along.
Like our previous Teatime events, we will meet on Zoom and everyone will have the chance to discuss and share about their experiences as AAPI wherever you are in the world. A Mukbang is a Korean eating show, where the host is eating a variety of foods and interacting with the audience. We’ll all gather to eat, drink, and chat. All are welcome to attend.
We are asking participants to consider donating a Good Fortune Red Envelope to Democrats Abroad on behalf of the AAPI Caucus to help support our efforts in 2022 to get out the vote. Any amount is appreciated, and we are thankful for your “lucky donation”.
Year of the Tiger is characterized by strength, generosity and growth.
