Please join us on Saturday, February 22nd for a Madrid Black History Tour led by AfroIbérica Tours.

Kwame will be our guide on this private tour for DA members and friends, which will be a 2-hour journey through the slave history of Madrid. The trace of slavery can still be seen in numerous places in the Spanish capital, where enslaved people influenced the configuration of the city as we know it. Spain was the penultimate territory of the Atlantic World to definitively abandon slavery. This tour is the reaffirmation of the black presence in the Iberian Peninsula centuries before Christopher Columbus until the present day.
