2026 is shaping up to be one of the most important voting years of our lifetime. With 470 federal elections ahead, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Primaries begin as early as March, which means our Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts will ramp up quickly. We need the help of Riviera members to register and mobilize Americans to vote.
How can you help and amplify our efforts? Become a trained Voter Assistant.
All you need to do is watch a series of short training videos covering every aspect of voting from abroad. To make it easier—and a little more fun—we’re hosting an in‑person group training session:
📅 Thursday, February 12 📍 Holy Trinity Anglican Church, central Nice
During the session, we’ll watch the four training modules together, and you’ll have time to ask questions—a big advantage over doing the videos alone at home. After completing the session, you’ll receive a link to take a short open‑book quiz (you can take it as many times as needed!).
Training Schedule
4:00 pm – Arrive and check in 4:15 pm – Training begins promptly with Modules 1 & 2 (55 minutes) 5:10 pm – Short break 5:15 pm – Modules 3 & 4 (55 minutes) 6:15 pm – Q&A (up to 30 minutes as needed) 6:45 pm – Training concludes — we must vacate the room before 7 pm
What does a Voter Assistant do?
Once you pass the quiz, you’ll be ready to support our Vote From Abroad efforts in meaningful ways:
• Answer questions about voting from overseas for friends, family, and fellow Americans. • Assist at in‑person voter registration events across the Riviera. • Support DA’s live Voter Help Zoom Rooms, providing one‑to‑one guidance to voters around the world.
We cannot overstate the importance of this election year—up and down the ballot.Americans abroad matter: In close races, our votes are the margin of victory—but only if we register, request ballots, and help voters return them on time. We need our Riviera members to help make this happens with all the Americans in our area.
Please RSVP below to attend the training.
Please note that we are unable to provide refreshments. However, you are welcome to bring your own water bottle.
