New Podcast Episode: VMF Hears the Latest From Chicago with Air Force Veteran and Long-Time Activist Dana Briggs

Dana Briggs USAF
Dana Briggs is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and someone who’s been peacefully protesting for decades. And unlike the Trump Administration, Dana understands the meaning of how citizen dissent is actually patriotic. In recent days, Dana has been watching American democracy slowly crumble due to the never-ending questionable actions coming out of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the White House, and other government entities. These actions have prompted him to once again participate in peaceful protests – this time in the Chicago area and in opposition to the presence of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who appear to have no problem arresting U.S. citizens or persons of color, while ignoring due process. The Democrats Abroad Global Veterans and Military Families (VMF) Caucus caught up with Dana and picked his brain on what he’s been seeing while on the ground and exercising his First Amendment rights, and he lets us know his thoughts on what’s been happening.
