In anticipation of Memorial Day, the Rome & Southern Italy Chapter is participating in a very special wreath-laying ceremony and remembrance concert at the WWII Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial in Nettuno on Thursday, May 10. Join us in commemorating the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to liberate Italy from Fascist rule and helped bring an end to the Second World War.
The concert will feature the University of Michigan Women's Glee Club and will be followed by a free guided visit of the cemetery and visitor center.
Getting there: For those who wish to travel together from Rome, we will meet at Termini station at 10:15 a.m. in order to catch the Trenitalia regional train departing at 10:42 a.m. (one-way ticket: €3.60). The journey takes a little over an hour. If you are coming from another city or by car, click here for directions.
