POSTPONED: Book Club Kick Off: The Handmaid's Tale - Democrats Abroad Leipzig-Halle

In line with the rest of Democrats Abroad Germany & recommendations from local health officials, we're postponing all events through March 31st. We encourage you to stay home as much as possible, avoid large gatherings, and keep in touch with friends+neighbors for mutual support.

We're currently looking into which of our events can be held online, and what tools to use. We'll keep you posted as soon we're able to announce a new date/location. Thanks for your understanding and take care of each other!

Join us for the first meeting of the new Democrats Abroad Leipzig-Halle book club!

Our meeting will be on March 14 from 18:30 to 20:00 at Goldhopfen Craft Beer Bar in Leipzig. We will be discussing the classic fiction novel "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood.

If you've always wanted to read the book but never got around to it, only watched the Netflix series, or already read the book and want to discuss it with like-minded peers, now is your chance! If "The Handmaid's Tale" is a hit, we can read the recently published sequel ("The Testaments") next!

Feel free to bring book ideas or suggestions/concerns.

== RSVP ==
It's not required, but please RSVP below so we have a rough idea of how many people to expect.

Please share this event with your American friends and acquaintances in the Leipzig-Halle area! As always, we welcome new faces, even if you've never attended a meeting or an event before.
