In just a couple of weeks we (unique to Democrats Abroad) can vote for the Presidential Candidate of our choice! This is unique as a Democrat and as a member of Democrats Abroad (and especially here in Germany). Our polling station will be at Goldingers in Landstuhl (as listed below) and we will have coffee and sweet rolls. If you have been watching the debates or following the issues & machinations of the various candidates you absolutely know how important this election will be! Come by, vote, enjoy a bit of fun and conversation and know that you "did your part" to make a difference!
Just in case you would like a bit of a "brush up" on the candidates or the importance of voting in the Global Presidential Primary, please check out the following!
Seven Reasons Every American Should Vote In The Presidential Primary
We'll Be Voting on March 6th, 2016 (from 15:00 - 17:30)
Time: 3:00 to 5:30
Date: 3/6/16
Where: Hotel/Café Goldinger
Von- Richthofen- Strasse 18
66849 Landstuhl
06371 92490 or 06371 3243
**There is parking in the parking lot across the street from Goldingers. Parking is plentiful, not restricted,
and free on Sunday - just across the street!
**Before or after voting we will have a table reserved in the main café for coffee, cake, snacks, drinks, or an
early dinner (if you would like). (To the extent, there is room; members may also be served in the voting area.
**(Goldingers closes at 6:30 on Sunday)
Important:
1) To vote in the Democrats Abroad Presidential Primary, you must be a member of Democrats Abroad. If you are already a member, please feel free to bring a friend or anyone else you may know that would like to vote. I will have a computer at the polling station and can sign them up as new members to our Chapter and then they will be given their ballot.
2) You must be an American Citizen
3) You will be voting for a Presidential Candidate in the Democratic Party. This means that you cannot have previously voted for a Democratic Presidential Candidate (either from remote ballot or by other means). So, if you have already voted for a Presidential candidate, you cannot vote in our Primary. This also means that you can vote for a Candidate in our (Democrats Abroad Poll) and still vote on separate state issues from your home state (if you wish). You just cannot vote for a Presidential Candidate twice.
The rules are simple, the stakes are high and what an exciting way to make a difference. I will really look forward to seeing everyone there!
All my very best,
Neal Taylor
Chapter Chair - Kaiserslautern

“Sometimes it takes a while to recognize that someone has a special ability to get us to believe in ourselves, to tie that belief to our highest ideals, and to imagine that together we can do great things. In those rare moments, when such a person comes along, we need to put aside our plans and reach for what we know is possible.” ― Caroline Kennedy
“Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.” ― Abraham Lincoln
“If you are bored and disgusted by politics and don't bother to vote, you are in effect voting for the entrenched Establishments of the two major parties, who please rest assured are not dumb, and who are keenly aware that it is in their interests to keep you disgusted and bored and cynical and to give you every possible reason to stay at home doing one-hitters and watching MTV on primary day. By all means stay home if you want, but don't bullshit yourself that you're not voting. In reality, there is no such thing as not voting: you either vote by voting, or you vote by staying home and tacitly doubling the value of some Diehard's vote.” ― David Foster Wallace
