Saturday June 6 meet-up time:  9 a.m. Bayeux train station where bus can pull in.

D-Day Parking and Traffic Instructions for Bayeux

9:30 /10:30  The DAF bus from Paris picks up the DA members gathered in Bayeux who are invited to the ceremonies at the American Cemetery.

 

Others join festivities in Bayeux throughout the day, help with the children's parties,in the parks of Bayeux

4:00 pm  End of Official Ceremonies

5:00 / 5:30 pm: DAF bus back in Bayeux

starting 6 :00 pm  Picnic on Place Charles de Gaulle, Bayeux

Tables reserved with Kiwanis who will provide meal. 

Price approximately 7.50 euros per person. 

Beverages extra.

Activities throughout the evening:

T-shirt distribution and signing/decorating event

DAF Normandy t-shirts and D-Day signing

Picturesque photoshoots on small mill bridges as part of the Obama Bridge Project.   Ours will be the grassroots vision of bridges -- small, beautiful, perfect -- with lots of participation!  During the evening, we will stroll the length of the Aure and take photographs of DA members on and beside the many picturesque bridges and waterwheels:

Little bridges and big bridges need to work together!

The Obama Bridge Project Motto:  Yes, we span!

Concerts organized by Bayeux on Place Charles de Gaulle -- Classical, Gospel, 40's..

8 /8:30 pm Paris bus leaves   .

10:00 / 10:15 pm:  carpooling to the beaches for fireworks
