Progressing Toward 2024 and Beyond: A Conversation with Larry Cohen

Please join Democrats Abroad France for a very special event with Larry Cohen, Chair of Our Revolution, DNC Member, and powerhouse organizer for progressive change. 

Larry will speak with us about the 2024 elections and beyond, the current wave of labor activism, and the progressive agenda for success.

Larry Cohen is the chair of Our Revolution and the former president of the Communications Workers of America (CWA). Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Larry began his career as a union activist and spent more than twenty years working within the CWA before being elected its president. In 2015, after his term ended at CWA, he led outreach efforts for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign. After the election, he joined Our Revolution, a political organization founded by Bernie Sanders, and has been Board chair and an advisor to Senator Sanders ever since.

Internationally, Larry has worked to strengthen the effectiveness and solidarity of the international labor movement. He expanded alliances with CWA's counterpart unions in Latin America, Europe and Asia, and was elected president of the 2.5 million-worker Union Network International Telecom Sector in 2001, serving until 2007. Larry is a founder of American Rights at Work, and a member of the Democratic National Committee.
