Raising American and South African-American Kids in SA
Inspiring our children to be proactive citizens
Democrats Abroad South Africa (DASA) invites you to a community discussion on Raising American and South African-American Kids in SA!
Sunday 15 August 2021
We’ve all been reminded that sustaining a democracy and working toward that more perfect union requires each and every one of us to be active citizens! How do we raise American children in South Africa with an understanding of what that means and an interest in playing their part?
Join us on Sunday 15 August for our next DASA Kids discussion on Raising American and South African-American Kids in SA. DASA members Eve Thompson and Richard Robinson, living in Knysna, South Africa, will share some ideas and facilitate this discussion. They have both lived abroad for many years and are currently raising daughters in South Africa. Eve is a specialist in Democracy and Governance and will talk about linking American kids to American politics.
- How can we work together to raise proactive citizens living abroad - inspiring awareness, interest, agency, responsibility and activism in the next generation?
- Let’s share resources, ideas for parents, and ideas we can pursue collectively as DASA.
This is part of a DASA series focused on raising the next generation as socially conscious, proactive American citizens - especially targeted to those living in SA. Join us!
