The Diversity Caucus of Democrats Abroad France invites you to a discussion with progressive powerhouse RANIA BATRICE on Climate Action, Climate Justice & 2024 on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 7pm.
Climate change is causing a multitude of detrimental social, economic, health, and other impacts on vulnerable communities, often communities of color, who have contributed the least to the climate crisis —making existing inequalities and injustices a whole lot worse. Climate justice focuses on reducing these unequal harms. Join us for an urgent and critical conversation with Rania Batrice on the good, the bad, and the ugly in US politics when it comes to climate action, climate justice and the march on 2024.
ABOUT RANIA: A daughter of Palestinian immigrants, political strategist and progressive powerhouse Rania Batrice has blazed a life path as a voice for the silenced, including as Deputy Campaign Manager to the Bernie Sanders Campaign in 2016, and as special consultant to the DNC on progressive outreach. Rania has advised organisations such as Our Revolution, the Arab American Institute, March for Our Lives, StudentsMarch.org, New American Leaders, March For Science, Sunrise Movement, Zero Hour, American Hemp Campaign, the Innocence Project, the Freedom Project, and Planned Parenthood. Rania has been a featured speaker for a wide range of events, including addressing climate change at the Social Good Summit, the UN Youth Climate Summit and the UN General Assembly. Rania has also been a stateside collaborator for the Democrats Abroad Global Reparations Taskforce.
