A lawyer, Bernard is also a faculty member of the Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and co-Scientific Director of the PSIA Master on Human Rights and Human Affairs. Before joining RSF, Bernard was the CEO of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and served as a member of the French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights from 2005 to 2017.
