The Democrats Abroad (DA) UAE Chapter is hosting a webinar on Sunday September 20 at 8:30 AM Eastern Time/4:40 PM in the UAE, where we will cover the information that will guide you to mail/send/fax your ballot (Depending on your state requirements) after you have received your ballot.
This webinar will be targeting assistance for voters across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region who do not have a formal DA country committee.
If you have successfully requested your ballot via www.votefromabroad.org and you have emailed your Local Election Office (LEO) to confirm they received it, what is your plan to return your ballot? You should receive it via email by September 19 (Ballot Day).
We will cover the below main points during the webinar:
- The steps you should take after you receive your ballot if your state allows mail/online ballot submission, Fax or only mail. Each state has different requirements in place for returning ballots (Check your state’s requirements by following the prompts of this link: https://www.votefromabroad.org/states/)
- Information regarding mailing your ballot via a diplomatic pouch through a US Embassy.
- Information about the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) (aka “Backup Ballot”).
- Answering any questions or comments that you may have regarding voting from abroad.
