Michigan State Team Action Meeting w/Guest Jason Sattler

Come hear about downballot voting opportunities and promotion from an expert on the topic! Jason Sattler is a journalist, podcaster and one of the founders of earlyworm, an advocacy group focused on civic education and citizen action. Folks familiar with the platform formerly known as Twitter might know of his work under the account @LOLGOP - he posts under the a similar username on Bluesky.

Research done by earlyworm funnels attention and funding toward grassroots organizations working to change the makeup of state legislatures, demonstrating what's possible when you focus on less flashy, less covered races and ballot initiatives. Sattler's approach to state politics dovetails beautifully with the goals of DA's State Team project. The earlyworm society has identified opportunities to hold the MI trifecta, flip the AZ and PA legislatures, breaking the GOP supermajority in NC and targeted state supreme court seats in OH and TX. Voters abroad in every state have power downballot, where races are often decided by 3-digit differences in vote totals.
